Go to My Silversmithing Crossovers Go to My Works with Silver / Metal Wire My Works With Silver To me, silversmithing has always been a man's job. It was until one day when I came across a friend of mine showing me a silver ring she did then I realized I can do it too if I want to. Thus I started my first lesson with silversmithing in mid 2005. Since then, I started picking up course after courses on silversmithing. It was not because I can create and design my own jewelry; it was because I enjoy the process of creating a piece of work from scratch. My friends always wonder why I like doing all those man's job. Little did they know that its a very good way of relaxing your mind. After a day's tight work schedule in the office, its always a nice thing to do something that can carry you away completely. No more boss to boss you around. No more unreasonable clients, etc. All you need is concentration on your work, make something according to your wish, and enjoy the products that you made. When you are extremely unhappy about anything, you can even vent it out by doing lots of hammer-work. So when people ask me why I love silversmithing, I'll ask them why they don't love silversmithing.
